This class is split into a classroom portion and a range portion.
Michigan requires:
• 5 hours of classroom instruction
• 3 hours of range instruction
The classroom is climate-controlled. The range portion takes place outdoors.
There will be short breaks during the classroom session and a longer break for lunch.
Total duration is approximately 8 hours.

• A functional handgun (unless renting)
• 100 rounds of ammunition (unless renting)
• Lunch, snacks, and water
• Weather-appropriate clothing (range is outdoors)
• Closed-toe shoes
A notebook is recommended. We cover a substantial amount of material.

If you are bringing your own firearm:
• Bring it unloaded in a case or holster
• Leave all ammunition in your vehicle
• No live ammunition is allowed in the classroom
If you plan to rent a firearm:
• You must notify us in advance by replying after registration
• Rental cost is $20 and includes ammunition
• Payment is made at the class (cash or card)
Check the weather and dress accordingly. This includes sun protection when appropriate.

Do I need prior experience?
No. This class is suitable for beginners.
Do I need my own firearm?
No. Rentals are available, but you must request one in advance.
Is the range indoors or outdoors?
Outdoors.
Is ammunition included?
Only with a rental firearm. Otherwise, you must bring your own. We recommend 100 rounds, but 50 will do.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The class runs rain or shine. Dress appropriately. We will set up a pop-up canopy if it rains.
